FLAS.Discovery is a study program designed for applicants aiming to prepare for undergraduate studies in the Liberal Arts and Sciences model in Montenegro.

The FLAS educational model emphasizes the active involvement of students in:

  • Shaping their academic trajectory within bachelor's degree programs,
  • Making informed choices about their educational strategies with the guidance of a tutor,
  • Engaging in dialogue-based learning through modern interactive techniques

Autumn: October 7 - December 15, 2024 (10 weeks)
Spring: March 3 – May 11, 2025 (10 weeks)
Online / offline training (Budva, Montenegro)
Courses will commence with a minimum enrollment of five students
The working language of the program is Russian
What do we offer
FLAS.Discovery offers two sets of courses: compulsory and elective
1) Compulsory courses (€1000)

Elective courses enable students to gain a deeper understanding of Montenegro, its culture, and language. These courses also assist students in adapting to daily life in a new country, enhancing their proficiency in English, and preparing for the FLAS entrance exam.

  • Modern Balkans: the culture of everyday life - 2 hours/week (total 20 hours)
  • English - 4 hours/week - by level (40 hours in total)

2) Elective courses (€250)

Elective courses will help students learn about different disciplinary contexts in order to successfully shape their educational trajectories in further studies. The list of elective courses can be supplemented depending on students' needs and the possibilities of the organizers.

All 2 hours per week, 20 hours in total. Each course is subject to an additional fee

Fall semester
  • Creative Writing (online, offline)
  • 10 points to Gryffindor: Political Sociology of the Wizarding World (online, offline)
  • Family and Money: An Introduction to Household Socioeconomics (online, offline)
  • Myth — fairy tale — anecdote. Fundamentals of folkloristics (online, offline)
  • Who writes and why does he write it? Cultural conflicts in texts of different eras (online, offline)
Spring semester
  • The spring semester is scheduled to run from March 3 to May 11, 2025. A list of courses will appear here soon.
Program graduates who successfully pass the final test at the end of the course will be exempt from the interview and English placement test when applying to FLAS in 2025.

*Payment should be made in euros to the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Montenegro. Payment in other currencies is available upon individual request.
